FL Studio Tutorial - How to remove noise from audio - Lesson 19
Removing unwanted noise from an audio clip
To begin with, the ideal situation for any recording is to have a place where there is no unwanted noise.
That many not be possible in most of the home studio setups as there will be some kind of hum noise generated by a Heater or AC or even a desktop or a laptop with a noisy fan inside.
And often it would be annoying to hear that constant noise in the background.
How do we remove it?
As explained in the above video, record your voice first.
Then collect the profile of the noise from the sections of your audio clip where your voice is not present. Note down the decibel of that noise.
Then use Fruity Limiter as shown in the video above.
Set the threshold to the noted decibel and decrease the gain. This will considerably remove that noise from your audio clip.
This may not be perfect in some situations as this will also affect the quality of your audio clip. But it depends on what you want to use your audio for.
